WEILA is presenting an enclosed external GNSS receiver configuration based on the WKG035BT04Y01 dual-frequency multi-constellation positioning module.
The solution combines the confirmed positioning capabilities of WKG035BT04Y01 with a plastic enclosure and wired connection. It is intended for projects that require an external receiver format instead of installing a bare GNSS module directly on the host PCB.
Customers can select a 2 m, 3 m or 5 m cable, while other cable lengths and interface configurations can be discussed according to the host device and project requirements.
A board-level GNSS module gives engineers flexibility when designing a complete positioning system. However, some projects need the receiver and antenna to be placed away from the main PCB or installed in a separate position with better satellite visibility.
The enclosed configuration provides another integration option. The WKG035BT04Y01 module and its antenna structure are installed inside a 59 × 48.6 × 18.6 mm plastic enclosure, with a cable connecting the receiver to the host equipment.
This format may help customers simplify mechanical installation and avoid designing a separate receiver enclosure. The final cable routing, mounting position, interface and pin definition should still be confirmed for the specific device.
The enclosed receiver is built around WEILA's WKG035BT04Y01 GNSS module. The module supports dual-frequency reception across multiple satellite navigation systems:
- BDS: B1I, B1C and B2a
- GPS/QZSS: L1 and L5
- Galileo: E1 and E5a
- SBAS: L1
Support for multiple constellations and frequency bands allows the receiver to use signals from different navigation systems according to satellite availability and the operating environment.
The confirmed positioning accuracy is ≤1 m CEP50 under the specified test conditions. Actual positioning performance in a finished project will also depend on satellite visibility, installation position, surrounding materials, electrical interference and the customer’s operating environment.
The receiver uses a 3.3–5.5 V DC supply range. The WKG035BT04Y01 core module outputs standard NMEA 0183 positioning data through a TTL UART interface, with a default baud rate of 115200 bps.
For customer projects, the external interface configuration can be customized. Before preparing a sample, WEILA will confirm the required host interface, pin definition, cable length and connection method with the customer.

No environmental protection rating is stated for this configuration. Customers with waterproofing, dust protection or specific environmental requirements should provide those requirements before product evaluation.
The enclosed WKG035BT04Y01 receiver can be evaluated for projects such as:
- Vehicle positioning and navigation equipment
- Tracking and location-based terminals
- Portable positioning devices
- IoT equipment that requires an externally positioned GNSS receiver
- Host systems requiring a customized cable or interface configuration
The suitability of the receiver should be confirmed according to the installation location, power supply, host interface, required cable length and target operating environment.
WEILA provides GNSS and BeiDou positioning products in different integration formats, including board-level modules, modules with integrated antennas and enclosed external receiver configurations.
Samples and real product images of this enclosed WKG035BT04Y01 solution are available. For project evaluation, customers can provide their application, required interface, cable length, connection method, quantity and installation requirements. The WEILA team can then confirm the appropriate configuration before sampling.
